QTH Station (Home Base) 🏠

  • Radio: Yaesu FTM-400 – Solid dual-band performer for stationary ops.
  • Antenna: Tram 1980 – High-gain vertical for maximum coverage.
  • Role: Beaconing home position and acting as a local digipeater when needed.

Hack tip: Integrated with custom Python for automated monitoring && reporting.

QRP Station (Portable Kit) 🎒

  • Radio: BTech UVPro – Compact HT for on-the-go transmissions.
  • Device: Galaxy Tab 8 – Running APRSDroid for software-defined magic.
  • TNC: Bluetooth TNC – Wireless packet encoding/decoding.
  • Role: Field ops, mesh networking, and emergency comms.

Pro tip: Pairs with custom Python for geo-fencing alerts.

  • Status: Reserved for future expansion – Digipeater or I-Gate incoming.
  • Potential Gear: TBD – Thinking LoRa integration for hybrid RF/IoT.
